This year in Kim Jaxon's English class, I did a variety of writing throughout the course. This website includes my Inquiry Essay, my Progress Essay, Annotations, Memos, my Keyword Assignment, my peer responses, a video project, and some informal writing. This work represents how I started as a student who just entered college with just high school writing techniques, but over time after taking this class, my writing starts to advance. This website is a peek into how my writing techniques progressively improve over the semester. 

 

Because I feel that my best writing was towards the end of the semester, I feel that my inquiry essay was my best work. I gathered a variety of information through some hard research and turned it into a clear paper that I feel can educate others. My criteria for "best" includes noticeably hard work such as intense research and a clear understanding to the topic. For example, in my inquiry essay, I mentioned mulitple statistics and included two stories of a male and female who had personal issues with my topic Adderall. The paper needs to be clear and organized so the readers understand as well. I broke down my essay into what Adderall was and what are the effects, who was affected, when and why students use it, and how they get ahold of it. 

Of course, grammar and spelling should be flawless. The "best" work needs to show improvemements from other pieces of work, but the main reason why I think my inquiry essay is the best is because I am very proud of this paper and worked really hard on it as well as educated myself on the topic as I wrote it.

 

I love my ePortfolio. Wix allowed me to not only express my writing by express myself as well. You can take a glance into my writing and my life at the same time. I hope website helps people understand me and where my writing comes from. This site was very straight-forward and I dealt with little to no challenges.
